I started my career over 20 years ago, running a very busy beauty salon in Church Village, Pontypridd.
Many of my clients came to me for Eyebrow procedures like eyebrow shaping and tinting, but many of them had hardly any Eyebrows to work with or at least very sparse and it was very difficult to create the look they wanted and eyebrow pencils would just wipe away easily throughout the day, I also knew this frustration for myself!
Being a busy mum I just didn’t have the time to keep re applying my eyebrows.
So when I heard about Semi permanent make up I couldn’t wait to train, and I became a specialist in my field, later going on to become a trainer in Semi permanent make up.
I feel so privileged to be able to help give people back the confidence they may have lost due to hair loss, this can happen for many reasons like medical conditions such as Alopecia, hormonal imbalances, and also like myself, unfortunate enough to find themselves going through cancer treatment and chemotherapy.
Not everyone finds it easy to draw on eyebrows everyday, but they are part of our face, framing our features and giving us confidence, and we can feel bare without them.
I also offer Areola reconstruction for women who have undergone breast cancer surgery like myself and feel I can fully understand how much this surgery can affect our lives.
I pride myself on my down-to-earth approach approach to Semi permanent make up, offering natural as possible enhancements and many of my clients go on to become good friends.

Hair Loss Through Cancer
Sadly 10 million people are affected by cancer each year, effecting 1 in 2 of us. Thankfully with research many cancers are treatable, but the drugs and treatments used are harsh on our bodies effecting our skin and hair as well as our mental wellbeing. I have treated many clients in my career pre and post treatment and have seen the impact loosing your hair can have on a persons mental wellbeing but never quite understood how it felt completely, until in 2020 during the pandemic i had the terrible news that i had stage 3 breast cancer. After biopsies, scans, surgery I faced chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Believe it or not loosing all of my hair was one of the hardest things I faced. I no longer felt like myself, I lost my identity. I was at least glad I already had my eyebrows and eyeliner tatooed because this gave a frame to my face and this made a huge difference to my confidence. After my treatment, my hair eventually started to grow back slowly. A year later and because of the drugs I take to keep my cancer away my lashes and brows never fully returned. But Semi permanent make up has given me what’s missing. I understand the emotional turmoil someone suffering with cancer is going through, and I offer a sensitive and caring environment for consultations face to face or by facetime. There are amazing wigs and hats available and semi-permanent make-up can complete your look aiding in your recovery and re building your confidence again. I went from hats and wigs to now having hair extensions. I feel more like myself again more complete.
Alopecia
Many women and men loose they’re hair through Alopecia and it’s fast becoming more common. Loosing hair in this way is traumatic and distressing and in some cases permanent. With no apparent reason or treatment available. But there is hope to feel like yourself again. Thankfully wigs are now incredibly realistic using natural hair, made to mesure fitting perfectly to your scalp. But not all of us can easily apply our missing eyebrows using make up pencils. This takes time, practice and patience. Not only this, it’s easily removed causing embarrassing situations. Eyeliner doesn’t stay put due to watery eyes from the lack of eyelashes (our natural barrier to dust) This is where semi permanent make up can help. I have a large client base of clients suffering from alopecia. And i offer a confidetial and understanding environment for you to discuss your needs and treatment plan, giving you back your frame and confidence again.
